LSL started with two sisters who spend their summers at the beach. While scuba diving off the shore of Long Island, the Feldman sisters started to notice facemasks and plastic gloves floating in the ocean. As the Covid-19 Pandemic surged on, the girls kept seeing more and more face masks, gloves and other garbage show up in places they don’t belong. Such as in storm drains, streets, parks, and on the beaches... slowly creeping into our oceans. Since then, The Feldman sisters have been removing face masks, gloves, and other trash they find walking around NYC streets, at the beach, and in the ocean. The Feldman sisters created LAND.SEA.LOVE in hope that others would join their mission and take active steps to protect the health of our oceans.
